What is the "Can Do" Kit Club?

Many of you have asked us for more kits, more designs, more styles, more everything! And we've asked ourselves one single question..."How can we bring to you, our customers, new and exciting kits in a timely and cost-effective manner?" How indeed!

While we all love the idea of a "monthly kit club", I find that the market is flooded with companies that buy items in bulk, pick out coordinating papers and embellishments, create fancy names to get your attention, and wah-la...they send you out a box of stuff that costs way too much and most times you're not sure what to do with it when you get it. If you're like me, a good bit of the "stuff" are things you would never buy in the 1st place. Where is the inspiration and creativity? Where is the passion?

At SCD! we work VERY HARD to create projects that both inspire you as well as help you finish completed projects in a timely manner. Because we take the time to develop and create the project, all you have to do is follow the easy full-length instructions and you're done! What could be better?

In an answer to the overwhelming response to our kits, we would like to introduce the "Can Do Kit Club." Our club offers you the option of purchasing a subscription to receive our newsest kit every month at a savings off the regular price. You'll also have the option of purchasing the monthly "Mini Kit". This "add on" feature will also save you money. And, when you join for 6 months, you'll receive an exclusive kit not available for retail sale!

Our kit program starts January 15th. Watch for details in the coming days for pricing and a "sneak peak" of our 1st "Can Do" kit!

2009 was such a crazy year for us at SCD! In July, I moved to California and SCD! was put on hold until I got settled. Then, I moved back to CT in October and all was well again. Poor Vanessa's hair is still wind-blown from all the excitement! (She's got a hair appointment tomorrow!)

And so, with a new year begins a new chapter. I am settled back in my home, Vanessa can hardly keep up with all my manic outbursts & SCD! is back on track! We have moved all of our supplies to the SCD! studio and are ready to go! Just listen to what we have up our sleeves:

Vanessa is busy with the cutest lil' mitten album from Maya Road while I have my hands busy with a Valentine's stamp album (also from Maya Road.) We will soon be releasing the newest Baby album as well as the very anticipated Disney album. We are teaching a workshop at the end of the month at New England Scrapbook Co. Watch for us on the road as we take SCD! to area weekend retreats this year. We'll let you know where we'll be in the coming weeks...maybe we'll see you at a crop!

And if that isn't enough, come January 15 our "Can Do Kit Club" kicks off...watch for details Monday morning! We are so excited!

We can hardly believe how time has flown!

One year ago this month, Scrap Can Do! was just in the discussion stages. We enjoyed a few lunch and dinner meetings, sent emails back and forth setting the stage for our "little" kit album biz. We each bought new notebooks, were gitty as we designed our logo and biz cards. And one year later, we can't believe our success, thanks to you! Our "official" annivesary is July 1st, but we are celebrating now, just the same! We want to share our success with all of you!

As you know, it's been a BUSY BUSY week here at Scrap Can Do! We've been putting the finishing touches on three new AMAZING album kits and getting them ready for shipment on Friday. we're ready to start our next round of kits.... we've got some great ideas rolling around, and i have a dilemma... i've got a great idea for a vacation album, and i can't decide on a line of papers!!! little yellow bicycle has a travel line coming out... then there's october afternoon - oh, how i love october afternoon!!! so many companies, so much to choose from!! so while i ponder, i'll make another batch of cakeballs...and maybe you can tell me what lines/companies you are especially find of...

hi, it's vanessa. christy calls me most days around 1:30 in the afternoon. we check in, we check up, we laugh, we complain... nothing terribly exciting. but do you want to know what the four most exciting words she can utter to me are?? "our shipment came today!!"

we got new papers and albums and rubons and other stuff i can't even remember ordering today!! we've been on a tear lately, cranking out new kits, so you'll be seeing much of it soon!

we have been so busy making new kits!! we have our new baby kit on our website and on etsy, as well as a mini SMILE! album. they are too cute!! tonight we'll be putting a christmas keepsake box online as well!

we have been super-busy with the new set of kits, and Christy jet-set off to Disney for a few days to gather ideas and plans for all kinds of new goodies!! the only problem we are having is finding enough time to get all these ideas out of our heads and into books!

The finishing touches are done on our new "Create Happiness" kit and it is ready to roll later today! All the little details were less tedious this time, we established a good system for ourselves and I think it shows in this new kit! Lots of pink and brown and so pretty to look at!

Tonight is the start of Scrap Pink, and the formal introduction of Scrap Can Do! at New England Scrapbook Company in Canton, Connecticut. We'll have snacks and treats and some little give aways and lots of bargains. Buy 2 Scrap Can Do kits, receive a mini kit FREE. Sign up for our December 14th workshop an get a mini kit FREE! just a little sneaky-peeky of what's in store for our Scrap Pink kit that will be available next weekend... we started with one idea, and totally canned it for this one. this one rocks. lots of papers, lots of fun embellishments, lots of fun - and even a few surprises!! it has a pink theme, but is not necessarily breast cancer related - it can be used for any subject!

We're working at a frenzied pace here at Scrap Can Do! We've got things in the works for a November 1 release, we've got things in the works for a workshop in December (stay tuned!), and something in the works for Scrap Pink! on Sept 27!! This is also our big "unveiling" day at New England Scrapbook Company.... we've been on the shelves for a week now, but we are going to do a formal introduction on the 27th. How exciting!

We've got some seasonal projects coming down the line, as well as zoo, baby, some mini-kits, and a few other secrets! Woo! Crank up the coffee maker, it's gonna be a long day!! =D

We delivered the kits to New England Scrapbook Company yesterday, and listed 5/6 of the kits on etsy - the last (and the best, in my opinion) will be over there tomorrow.

The packaging is spectacular, and Christy has been putting the finishing touches on a Mini-Kit that will be available some time next week.

As for today, Day 2 of Scrap Can Do - LIVE!, Christy is taking a little time to be under-the-weather, and i'm chasing babies (per usual), so it's back to life as we know it.

We are so excited - we've already had a few sales, and the initial feedback has been great. Can't wait to hear more of what everyone thinks!!

this last week before the official opening of Scrap Can Do! will be filled with the little details - proofreading the directions one. more. time. - making sure the details in the kits look. just. fine. - i'm trying to think of one more that. will . rhyme. (ok, i'll stop)

we're taking the time to make sure everything is perfect, and we'll be on-line and in-store next tuesday. we can't wait!!! i may not have any more updates til the weekend, but if you miss us be sure to check out flickr, i'll be putting up lots of sneak peeks over there!!

T minus 2 weeks!

someone asked this weekend how much further we had to go. i answered "miles!", but that's not what she meant. we will be on etsy AND at New England Scrapbook Company in just 15 days!! that's 2 weeks!! throw in a couple of birthdays, getting ready for back-to-school, a wedding, and all the other things that happen in life.... and HERE WE ARE! we are excited as can be, and hustling and bustling to be ready for YOU!

the final touches will be made on our samples this week, and we're already ordering for the next release of keepsake scrapbook kits. we're planning a workshop for december. and we're planning to take a nap in 2019. be sure to check out some more sneak-peeks on flickr, we'll be uploading as the days go on!

and a little of that... here i am designing our logo. it's all very high-tech and hush-hush and other hyphenated-words. =)

we've got all kinds of balls in the air, and some of them are even on FIRE!! we're putting the finishing touches on our samples, and in just a few short weeks, we will be LIVE! next week we'll be taking pre-orders for New England Scrapbook Company and setting up the Etsy shop.

we are really and truly hard at work making the most fabulous scrapbook kits - a little something for everyone!! though our shift was cut short by an unexpected power outage at the scrap can do! lair. We managed to get another 45 minutes or so in before it was just too ridiculous to carry on. no water, no a/c, working by emergency lights!!

we'll be providing a few sneak-peaks in the upcoming days (once the lights come on!), so get ready. we accomplished some great things today, even in the dark!!
